Egil Boye Petersen Jr. Earns Membership With Stanford Who’s Who

As Head of Heavy Oil Petroleum Technology with Statoil, as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, Mr. Petersen has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be successful in the business world.

Egil, who has served in numerous roles with the company, is currently responsible for managing the development of a global technology center with the Heavy Oil sector with the purpose of serving Statoil’s Canadian assets through project development, business development, and operations.

Mr. Petersen is a 20 years veteran of the oil and energy industry who possesses exceptional leadership abilities and team building capabilities as well as remarkable technical, communication, and presentation skills. He also has an extraordinary ability to lead and work within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams where he excels at establishing positive relationships with team members and working together to meet and exceed common project goals.

During his collegiate career, Egil earned a Master of Science degree in Reservoir Physics from the University of Bergen in Norway. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Society of Core Analysts, and the Reservoir Engineer Network. Mr. Petersen has also authored numerous industry papers for presentation at international conferences.
